Max & Ruby’s Preschool Pranks by Rosemary Wells
How Full is Your Bucket? For Kids by Tom Rath

Class Pet Squad: Journey to the Center of Town by Dan Yaccarino is my children’s book pick for the month. It is fun, goofy, and full of adventure. This book is great for kids who have enjoyed Traction Man meets Turbodog, Mutant rat attack!, Captain Underpants, Gilbert Goldfish Wants a Pet, and Squish. What I loved about this book was that it was a chapter book with lots of colorful images. Each page includes silly drawings that help move the story forward. It is a great book for visual learners and kids who are looking to develop literacy and reading comprehension skills.

Celebrate Star Wars Day!
“May the 4th” is a day for all lovers of Jedi, the Resistance, the Skywalkers, the Hutts, Boba Fett, Gamorrean guards, Maz Kanata, General Grievous, Rancor Keeper and Snap Wexley to unite and celebrate all there is in the galaxy far, far way.
(Why May 4, you ask? Why, it’s right there in the date, a play on “May the Force be with You.”)
Check out some of our beloved Star Wars books (we have titles to appeal to every age!), binge on Star Wars dvds, and enjoy Star Wars again – and again – and again…
C’mon, can kids REALLY change the world? Well, maybe. . . you never know.
Take a chance and inspire your kids to believe that they CAN be brave, or creative, or determined. Maybe reading stories about another child’s courage might inspire our own children to step up, speak out, and try something they thought couldn’t be done – and in doing so, perhaps they CAN change their world, even just a bit.
Brightly shares a list of eight books about real life children who changed the world – time to hunker down and read together!
